Qualifications

Barbara earned her Registered Nursing degree from the California State University over 30 years ago. Prior to her degree, she had been licensed as a Vocational Nurse, as well as having served in the US Navy as a Hospital CorpsWave during the Viet Nam era. She became certified in massage and body work in 1997, fulfilling another lifetime goal of healing by touch in addition to her nursing career. Shortly thereafter, she sought and earned Reiki Mastership, and became a Reiki Master Teacher. She has shared her skills with many classes of students in the last 10 years. She was invited to join the faculty of LifeStream Massage School in Napa, California, where she has taught basic massage techniques, reflexology, and an ancient form of Chinese bodywork called Tui Na ("tway na").  She has also become one of a precious few International body workers to learn Advanced Muscle Release Technique from Michael Young in Evergreen, Colorado.
